Megan is enthusiastic about community spirit and considers meeting new people and being in a team the second-best thing about being involved in the efforts to make Waitākere Ranges Pest Free. Of course the best thing is the reward of seeing the increasing biodiversity because of regular trapping. She considers seeing the benefits of native revegetative planting around Little Muddy Creek (where she lives) to be a glimmer of light during the devastating floods in 2023.
Amongst other things she is Chairperson of Titirangi Protection Group, Secretary for Waima to Laingholm Pest Free and a member of the Watercare Community Liaison Group for the Huia Water Treatment Plant. She works for Whanau Awhina Plunket and in the AOD rehabilitation sector.
