BirdCare Aotearoa is a Department of Conservation permitted wildlife rehabilitation centre based in Green Bay, Auckland and is dedicated to providing professional care and rehabilitation for sick, injured, and orphaned wild birds. BirdCare Aotearoa responds to avian casualties primarily in the Auckland region and provides technical and educational support to other rehabilitation facilities, veterinarians, wildlife agencies, and the public throughout Aotearoa. BirdCare Aotearoa is a member of the Wildlife Rehabilitators Network of New Zealand (WReNNZ). General Manager, Dr Lynn Miller, is currently the only wildlife rehabilitator in Aotearoa to hold the Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator (CWR) qualification, issued by the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (IWRC).
